The activities of the museo house in via Manzoni 12 continue in the context of the “LA PORCELLANA” exhibition, “White Gold from the 7th century to the Contemporary”, start again this week.
It starts on Wednesday 6th June from 6:00pm to 9:00pm, with an aperitif in Pollaiolo’s elegant terrace and a guided tour of the museum’s porcelain collection. The visits take place at 6:30pm and 7:30pm.
This event is included in the cost of the admission to the museum.
To book, call 02/794889 or 02/796334, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
On Thursday 7th June at 6:00pm, the second round of the conference cycle of the event takes place. The guest of the evening is Andreina D’Agliano, art historian currently involved in the preparation of an exhibition on porcelain collecting of the Lorenese Grand Dukes at the Uffizi Gallery. The meeting, titled “Porcelain from Meissen from the Zerilli – Marimò collection”, examines the most significant pieces of the collection, including one of the most ancient examples existing in stoneware by Boettger, the splendid vases donated by Augusto il Forte to Vittorio Amedeo II of Sardinia (exceptionally reunited with the remaining pieces of the series, on loan from the Royal Palace of Turin) and the magnificent Four Parts of the World, exemplifying the best sculpture of the German factory.
This event is free, subject to availability of seats.
The week ends on Saturday 9th June at 4:00pm. In collaboration with the culture association Ambarabart, the museum proposes a new appointment of the “Storie di Porcellana” children’s workshop, this time dedicated to modelling.
The activity is preceded by a guided tour to discover the surprising history of the ancient Meissen manufacture, through some precious and colourful examples in the Gian Giacomo Poldi Pezzoli collection and in the recent Zerilli-Marimò donation.
The one and a half hour workshop is reserved for children between the ages of 6 and 11. The cost of participation is 9 euros per child. In addition, accompanying adults to wish to visit the museum can take advantage of a reduced ticket for 7 euros.
Membership is limited to 20 children per meeting, please email email@example.com or call 02/794889 or 02/796334 to make a reservation.
