EMPOWERING TALK EVENT

Gender balance: good for women, good for men and good for business

Guest Speaker: Paul Walentynowicz

WHEN Tuesday, September 25th, 7-9:30 pm

WHERE Hotel dei Cavalieri, Piazza Missori 1, Milan (MM MISSORI)

Organisations are increasingly realising that to remain competitive in our fast changing and disrupted business world, they need to attract, engage and retain a diverse talent pool.  This gives them access to the best ideas and enables them to better innovate and grow their business. They also realise that in order for this talent to thrive in their organisation they need to create an inclusive working environment which enables each employee to “bring all of themselves to work” and give their best.

Currently most companies are far away from where they need to be: for example, when it comes to gender balance, 80% of executive positions in organisations across Europe are held by men and only 20% by women. The World Economic Forum found that women cite male dominated company cultures and working practices as key factors in them leaving their positions. And yet studies by Mc Kinsey and Credit Suisse show that the most gender diverse businesses are 15% more likely to enjoy above above-average profitability and provide a 3.5% per year higher return to investors, so clearly gender balance is good for business!

PWN’s research has shown that one of the keys to making progress on gender balance is engaging men. We see a new generation of men and women entering the business world wanting a different “employment deal” with more flexibility and work / life balance. They want to work for more empowered organisations with more inclusive leaders.

So how can your organisation create more flexibility and balance and develop truly inclusive leaders so you can attract and retain the best diverse talent?

We are welcoming Paul (Paweł) Walentynowicz ,  international speaker, trainer and coach, to talk on the subject of gender balance and why it is so important for us all.

We will also be inviting you to participate in table discussions about how building a gender balanced and inclusive workplace can help you and your business thrive in the future.

So please join us for a thought provoking, interactive and engaging event which will help us all determine the part we can play in building a better world.

To make sure that we collectively make a positive impact on the organizations where we work or with whom we collaborate, please make sure each of you invite at least 2 men for this event!
