Celebrations in honour of Alfred Ormond Edwards
On 23 September, in Milan, a ceremony will be held to open the celebrations in honour of Alfred Ormond Edwards, the founder and first president of Milan Football Club . The event will be at the All Saints’ Anglican Church in Via Solferino 17 at 3 p.m.
Alfred Ormond Edwards (12 October 1850 – 4 April 1923) was an English businessman and football pioneer. In 1899, he was one of the founding fathers and first chairman of Italian football club A.C. Milan under the original name of Milan Foot-Ball and Cricket Club.
