Introduction

I was born in Naples, Italy, and before settling in Milan I have lived and worked in Strasbourg, London, and New York. My experience of living abroad and changing careers, going fro medical doctor to actress and psychotherapist, makes me particularly sensitive to the issues experienced by the expatriates, on one hand, and by those who experience a lack of motivation and fullfillment from their own professional and personal life choices. I live in Milan but commute regularly to London for work and I have chosen to raise my only child in a bilingual household, hence I am also particularly aware of the issues arising from a multilingual family. I practice psychotherapy in Italian, English and French. After gaining a degree in Medicine and a specialty in Nephrology, I went on to gain a PhD in Immunology at King’s College of London. I worked for few years in various University Hospitals in London as a doctor, however I felt that something was missing from my life. I was neglecting an aspect of myself that was desperate to be acknowledged. I therefore decided to take a sabbatical year to explore my inner self and talents starting with embarking on a personal self development journey and going back to my childhood passions. Hence I went on to take on Integrative Psychotherapy and Healing Practice studies at Middlesex University of London (UK). During my studies I split my time between London and Milan where I undertook clinical placement at San Paolo Hospital. I currently practice in Milan and I am a lecturer of Communication Skills at Medical School in Humanitas University. I offer online therapy for clients living all over the globe.
