Dr Lisa Vampa MD PhD Multilingual Psychotherapist

After gaining a degree in Medicine and a specialty in Nephrology, I went on to gain a PhD in Immunology at King’s College of London. I worked for few years in various University Hospitals in London as a physician, however I felt that something was missing from my life. I was neglecting an aspect of myself that was desperate to be acknowledged and brought back to the forefront. I therefore decided to take a year sabbatical to explore my inner self and talents going on a personal therapeutical journey exploring my inner joy and passions long forgotten. What was meant to be a year of self reflection turned into a 6 years gap where I trained professionally as an actress in London and in New York. I went on to then start my stage career in Milan working in plays both in English and Italian. I also worked on translations and adaptationPsys in Italian of American and British plays.

During these years, the exploring of the human mind of various characters in the plays together with my own personal experience in therapy led me to take on a special interest in psychology prompting me to take on an Integrative Psychotherapy and Healing Practice MA at Middlesex University of London. During my studies I split my time between London and Milan where I undertook clinical placements at San Paolo Hospital where I started to work with patients.

I currently practice in Milan and teach at University. I offer online therapy for clients living all over the globe. In Milan I collaborate with the University “Statale” of Milan as a counsellor to students, both Italians and foreigns.
