The Phantom of the Opera in English @ Arcimboldi

The Phantom of the Opera, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s masterpiece, will be staged at the Arcimboldi Theatre from October 11 to 22.

The show will be in English with live orchestra.

Ramin Karimloo, among the world’smost esteemed performers of musicals and an Olivier Award and Tony Awardnominee, will again be the Phantom.

Alongside Ramin Karimloo will beItalian-American soprano Amelia Milo who will play the role of the female leadChristine Daaé.

The show, from which a film version directed by Hollywood director Joel Schumacher was made in 2004, has been seenby more than 145 million people in 183 cities and 17 languages since its debut in London in 1986, as well as having received more than 70 major theaterawards, including seven Tony Awards and four Olivier Awards.

The plot, set in the late 19thcentury, is inspired by Gaston Leroux’s novel of the same name and tells of abeautiful soprano, Christine Daaé, who becomes the obsession of a mysteriousmasked man who lives in the underground labyrinths of the Palais Garnier, theiconic Paris Opera House.
