Home to the only certified thermal water in the heart of Milan, De Montel – Terme Milano brings genuine thermal bathing, historic architecture and contemporary wellness together in the San Siro district. Milan’s first urban thermal baths are set within the restored Scuderie De Montel, opposite the stadium, with more than 16,000 square metres of indoor and outdoor space designed for slowing down without leaving the city.
Guests can spend a few restorative hours, a full day or an evening moving between warm pools, saunas, steam rooms, guided wellness ceremonies, relaxation areas, treatments, dining spaces and an extensive landscaped park. The setting is part of the experience. The former stables, commissioned by the De Montel banking family in the early twentieth century, have been carefully redeveloped while retaining their Liberty-style character. Historic façades, courtyards and architectural details now frame contemporary thermal pools and wellness spaces.
The centre is supplied by thermal water drawn from 396 metres beneath Milan. With a fixed residue of 204 mg/L and a pH of 8.29, the water is officially recognised by the Italian Ministry of Health for dermatological balneotherapy. This gives De Montel a genuine thermal foundation rather than the feel of a conventional city spa.

Each space uses a different balance of heat, humidity, fragrance and light, allowing guests to alternate warm rituals with cooler recovery periods.
Guided wellness ceremonies are included with admission and run throughout the day. Depending on the programme, guests may find Aufguss sessions using heat and essential oils, scented steam rituals, body scrubs or sound-based relaxation experiences. Checking the day’s schedule on arrival makes it easier to plan the visit around preferred sessions.
A massage or treatment can be added to the thermal experience. The menu includes relaxing and energising massages, facial and body rituals, and selected protocols developed using the Terme di Saturnia Method and skincare products.

The wellness experience can continue over lunch or into the evening.
