You are invited to participate in an event co-organized by the U.S. Consulate General in Milan, Baseball Softball Milano 1946, and Major League Baseball (MLB) to bring the Italian and international communities together on the field and celebrate baseball and softball’s return to the Olympics at LA28!

Date: July 12, 2025
Location: JF Kennedy Softball Field – Via Alessio Oliveri 15, 20152 Milan

Program:

• MLB PLAYBALL Workshops for Kids – Swing, Catch, and Throw!  Children age 6-12 learn the basics with hands-on instruction by Milano 1946 players.  All skill levels are welcome!
• Slow-Pitch Softball Friendly – Adult members of Milano 1946, the U.S. Consulate community, and the diplomatic corps in Milan will create two teams that play for bragging rights and goodwill.
• Home Run Derby – A high-flying spectacle of power as competitors aim to launch the most balls over the fence!
• BBQ Lunch – Classic American fare will be available for purchase at the field.

If you would like to play in the adult softball game, please fill out this form.

If you would like to register your child for a PLAY BALL workshop, please fill out this form.  There is no cost for participation and no prior experience is necessary.

Please note that spots are limited for both the softball friendly and the Play Ball workshops, so participation is on a first-come, first-served basis.  Don’t lose your spot – register today!

No prior experience or knowledge of baseball/softball is necessary to play in the softball friendly.  Required equipment will be provided by the organizers – participants need only to come in athletic shoes and attire.

Take Me Out to the Ball Game! Un Giorno di Baseball e Softball in Amicizia

Siete invitati a partecipare a un evento organizzato dal Consolato Generale degli Stati Uniti a Milano insieme a Baseball Softball Milano 1946 e Major League Baseball (MLB): un’occasione per riunire sul campo la comunità italiana e quella internazionale e festeggiare il ritorno del baseball e del softball alle Olimpiadi di LA28!

Luogo: Stadio JF Kennedy, campo softball  – Via Alessio Oliveri 15, 20152 Milano

Programma:

• Workshop MLB PLAY BALL per bambini – Swing, Catch, and Throw! I bambini dai 6 ai 12 anni imparano le basi del baseball con istruttori esperti della squadra Milano 1946. Aperto a tutti i livelli!
• Partita amichevole di Slow-Pitch Softball – Parteciperanno gli associati adulti di Milano 1946, rappresentanti della comunità del Consolato USA e del corpo diplomatico a Milano, che formeranno due squadre per una partita all’insegna del divertimento e della collaborazione.
• Home Run Derby – Uno show di forza: i partecipanti cercheranno di mandare più palline possibile oltre la recinzione!
• Pranzo BBQ – Sarà possibile assaggiare i classici piatti della tradizionale grigliata americana (a pagamento)

Nota bene: i posti sono limitati sia per la partita di softball che per i workshop Play Ball, quindi la partecipazione è in ordine di iscrizione (first-come, first-served).  Non perdere il tuo posto – iscriviti oggi stesso!

Non è richiesta alcuna esperienza o conoscenza pregressa di baseball/softball.  L’attrezzatura necessaria sarà fornita dagli organizzatori – i partecipanti dovranno presentarsi solo con scarpe da ginnastica e abbigliamento sportivo.
