Terme di Saturnia’s identity begins with the spring itself. Rainwater falling on Mount Amiata filters through rock and travels underground for around four decades, gathering minerals before emerging in the Natural Hot Spring at the centre of the resort. From there, the water continues through the thermal pools and across the surrounding landscape towards the well-known Cascate del Mulino.
The property’s history stretches back through Etruscan and Roman traditions of thermal bathing. A hotel was established on the site in 1919, and today the resort combines that heritage with contemporary hospitality. Its 124 rooms and suites use natural materials and colours inspired by the Maremma landscape and the iridescent tones of the spring water.

The Saturnia Day SPA gives non-resident visitors access to a 20,000-square-metre thermal setting with open-air pools, whirlpools, hot-and-cold vascular paths, relaxation areas, sauna and an argillarium. Several access formulas are available, making it possible to experience the thermal water without booking an overnight stay.
The outdoor pools remain naturally warm throughout the year.
