Milan marks the 25th edition of one of the city’s most important celebrations of rights, visibility and community
This June, Milan will once again turn rainbow for Milano Pride, marking its 25th anniversary with a month-long programme of events, culture, sport, performance, activism and celebration.
From theatres and public squares to parks and city streets, Milano Pride 2026 brings together people of every generation, identity and background in support of LGBTQIA+ rights and against all forms of discrimination. The anniversary edition will culminate on Saturday, 27 June 2026, with the city’s major Pride parade, followed by the closing event at Arco della Pace.
Easy Milano is proud to be a sponsor of Milano Pride 2026, supporting an event that has become a powerful symbol of inclusion, civic participation and social progress in Milan.
The 2026 edition carries special meaning. Twenty-five years have passed since the first Milano Pride took place on 23 June 2001, when a wave of people carrying rainbow flags emerged from the metro and filled the streets. What began as a courageous act of visibility has grown into one of the city’s most significant public demonstrations, drawing hundreds of thousands of participants and giving voice to a broader movement for equality, freedom and self-determination.
Alice Redaelli, President of CIG Arcigay Milano, describes Milano Pride as more than a celebration. It is a public act of presence, a way of refusing silence when rights and freedoms are questioned. That spirit runs through the 2026 programme, which invites residents, visitors, families, allies and the international community to take part.
Throughout June, Pride Month will bring more than 100 events across the city, including talks, presentations, theatre, music, cinema, comedy and political debate. The programme also continues its collaboration with QPride, helping bring LGBTQIA+ themes beyond the city centre and into Milan’s wider neighbourhoods.
Highlights include Pride Sport Arena on 21 June at the Giardino della Triennale di Milano, where sport, wellness and inclusion come together through activities, talks and movement. From 24 to 26 June, Pride Square will animate Porta Venezia with meetings, debates, art, culture and health initiatives, including rapid, anonymous and free HIV testing in collaboration with Milano Check Point.
The main parade will take place on Saturday, 27 June, departing from via Vittor Pisani and moving through the city toward Arco della Pace. Organisers expect around 350,000 people to take part. The day will close with speeches, music, entertainment and community voices from the stage at Arco della Pace.
Milano Pride 2026 will continue after the parade with Sempre Liber3 on 30 June at Teatro Elfo Puccini, an evening dedicated to queer performance, theatre, dance and stand-up comedy.
At 25 years old, Milano Pride is not only looking back. It is also looking forward, reminding the city that freedom is built through presence, participation and shared responsibility.
