This business group  began meeting for monthly lunches in 1980/81 as the American Business Group. Mostly made up by men at the time, the first female executive invited to join was Barbara Cocchini in 1988 when the group opened its doors to women and non-Americans.

Barbara Cocchini brought forth the activities of the group  for many years after. In honor of her passing in 2018, the group was renamed Barbara Cocchini’s  American Business Lunch.

The Barbara Cocchini American Business Group is an opportunity to network and meet other international business people in Milan.

The meetings are held monthly and English is used as the common language. Business men and women from all countries are welcomed to the networking luncheons.

Each month features a notable expert who gives a 10 minute talk on a  topic of current interest to the business  community,  ranging from economics,  culture, business trends, venture capital,  leadership, charity  and more, followed by Q and A and a lively discussion among the attendees.
