Message for U.S. Citizens: Global Entry Special Enrollment Event

GLOBAL ENTRY SPECIAL ENROLLMENT EVENT AT US EMBASSY ROME AND CONSULATE GENERAL MILAN

Announcement:

US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will host two (2) special Global Entry enrollment events in Italy:

·        At the US Embassy in Rome on August 5-6, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 5.00 pm. 

·        At the Consulate General in Milan on August 8-9, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 5.00 pm. 

This event is open to U.S. citizens in Italy.  Attendance is by appointment only and availability is limited.

What:         

Global Entry is a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the United States. Members enter the United States through automated kiosks at select airports. 

A few benefits associated with becoming a Global Entry member include but are not limited to no processing lines, no paperwork, and TSA PreCheck Eligibility – which expedites screening through TSA checkpoints at participating airports, and only $100 for a five-year membership.

When:

Interviews for Global Entry membership will be conducted at the U.S. Embassy in Rome on August 5-6, 2024, and at the Consulate General in Milan on August 8-9, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for those who meet the below requirements.

How to apply:

1.     Go to https://ttp.dhs.gov . Click “LOG IN” to create an account and complete the application.  A $100 non-refundable fee is required with each completed application.

Note: Regardless of age, all applicants must have their own account, including children.  Getting Global Entry for your child is the same process and cost as it is for adults. 

2.     Once you receive a status of “conditionally approved” on your account, please click “schedule interview” and select a location to complete your interview.  Choose “Rome” or “Milan” on the drop-down location list.

CBP will conduct interviews for those who are “conditionally approved”:

·        At the US Embassy in Rome on August 5-6, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 5.00 pm. 

·        At the Consulate General in Milan on August 8-9, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 5.00 pm.
