PRIDE SPORT ARENA 2025
Pride Sport Arena Returns to Milan, June 21–22 at Arco della Pace
On Saturday, June 21 and Sunday, June 22, the square at Arco della Pace transforms into the Pride Sport Arena—a two-day celebration of tournaments, events, and festivities open to the entire city. The goal: to promote inclusion, kindness, and respect through the power of sport.
During the event, organizers will also present Pride House Milano-Cortina 2026, a cultural and sporting initiative in partnership with the International Olympic Committee for the upcoming Milano-Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The Pride Sport Arena is an initiative of Milano Pride, in collaboration with Pride Sport Milano, the network of LGBTQ+ sports teams and groups in the city. For 48 hours, Piazza Arco della Pace will light up in rainbow colors, featuring three multi-sport courts for basketball, soccer, volleyball, and beach volleyball. The program also includes demos, non-competitive walks and runs, outdoor games, talks, and DJ sets.
“The Pride Sport Arena is a chance to fully embrace the values of sport and ‘team up’ against all forms of discrimination,” says Massimo Rebellato, President of Pride Sport Milano. “From basketball, volleyball, beach volleyball, and soccer to tennis, swimming, skiing, cycling, taekwondo, running, crossfit, bowling, hiking, and diving—everyone is welcome.”
Introducing Pride House Milano-Cortina 2026
On Saturday, June 21 at 8:00 PM, the very first Pride House in Italy will be presented. These inclusive and supportive spaces for the LGBTQIA+ community are promoted by the International Olympic Committee during the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
From February 6 to 20, 2026, Pride House Milano-Cortina 2026 will be hosted at the MEET Digital Culture Center in Milan, featuring cultural, artistic, and sporting events focused on human rights and inclusivity in sports.
The presentation will include representatives from Milano Pride and Pride Sport Milano, the International Olympic Committee, organizers of Pride House Paris 2024, and athlete and activist Niki Symmons.
Event Highlights – Pride Sport Arena 2025
The entire event is free and open to everyone in Milan. [Sign up HERE]. Over the weekend, local LGBTQIA+ sports teams will be twinning with Milan-based associations and inclusion projects:
- Peacox Basket Milano—Italy’s only fully inclusive basketball team—teams up with Sanga Milano to host a Baskin match (an innovative version of basketball open to all regardless of ability, age, or gender). Saturday, June 21 at 6:00 PM.
- Gate Volley Milano, LGBTQIA+ & Friends volleyball group active since 1998, joins PlayMore!—a Milan-based organization promoting social integration through accessible and inclusive sports—for a volleyball match. Saturday, June 21 at 6:00 PM.
- Milano Gators Quadball and AS Rugby Milano (Serie A team) host a Touch Rugby and Quadball exhibition match. Quadball is a gender-inclusive sport welcoming all identities, while Touch Rugby replaces tackling with a simple touch. Saturday, June 21 at 6:00 PM.
- At the same time, Open Role and Queer Tango Milano invites everyone to a celebratory inclusive dance event embracing all forms of diversity.
- On Sunday afternoon at 3:00 PM, Touch ASD (LGBT+ beach volleyball) and La Mya Parte (an association supporting refugees and migrants through social inclusion projects) will organize a solidarity walk from Castello Sforzesco to Arco della Pace. The walk will offer moments of reflection on the emotional journey of migration—before departure, during the journey, and upon arrival.
The Pride Sport Arena is made possible with the support of PENNY Italia, once again standing with the LGBTQIA+ community to champion the values of inclusion.
