The Musical Chapel of the Milan Cathedral at the Milan Auditorium
Monday 25 March at 8pm is a very special event at the Milan Auditorium. Symbolically set on Monday, right at the beginning of what in liturgical language is called “Authentic Week“, the concert represents the culmination of a long-standing synergistic relationship between the Giuseppe Verdi Symphony Orchestra and Symphony Choir Foundation of Milan and the Veneranda Fabbrica of the Cathedral . For the second time the marvelous Cappella Musicale of the Milan Cathedral arrives on the stage of the Milan Auditorium, the oldest musical institution in Milan (it has been active continuously since 1402) and one of the oldest in Europe, led by its Maestro, Monsignor Massimo Palombella.
A musical program of rare beauty, under the title “ Mors tua sit vita nostra ”, which focuses on the production of Tomás Luis de Victoria (1548-1611), focusing in particular on the Officium Hebdomadae Sanctae published in Rome in 1585.
